FAQs

Mag Shades for Rear Door Windows, Side Port Windows, Rear Windscreen, and Sunroof

Do Mag Shades obstruct my view?

We've selected a perforated fabric that doesn't block the driver's blind spots. Mag Shades should be removed if vision is impaired.

Note: Visibility may vary for individuals due to factors like viewing angle, tinting, and lighting/weather conditions.

Can I still roll my windows down with Mag Shades installed?

Yes, you can still use your windows with Mag Shades installed. You can partially roll down the windows (up to halfway) while driving at reasonable speeds (up to approximately 70 km/hr). However, we do not recommend fully rolling down the windows while the vehicle is in motion.

Please note: This recommendation applies to partially opening the rear door windows only while driving and does not consider other windows, wind speed, or direction.

How do I determine if my vehicle needs Mag Shades with magnetic mounts or clips?

The product listing for your model will specify if "magnetic mounting clips" are included. Some vehicles require these clips because their window frames have plastic or rubber trim. The magnetic mounts come with adhesive tape and are included with your purchase if needed.

For side port window shades, rear windscreen shades, and sunroof/panoramic glass shades, different types of clips or mounts are used. These clips fit into the vehicle's trim to secure the shade.

If you need more information about the installation requirements for your vehicle, please contact us.

If my car already has built-in shades on the rear doors or port windows, can I still use Mag Shades?

Mag Shades are intended for windows without factory built-in shades, although they can work with certain models that have them. If you're considering purchasing Mag Shades and have factory built-in shades, please send us window photos for confirmation of compatibility.

How do I remove magnetic mounts or clips with adhesive?

The automotive-grade 3M tape used on the mounts or clips is extensively tested and typically leaves minimal residue upon removal. While we can't cover every scenario, such as pre-existing trim conditions or weather factors, the mounts can usually be removed without damaging the door trims. To remove them, we suggest slowly pulling them off, especially on warmer days. Any residue left behind can be easily wiped off with alcohol wipes.

What are Mag Shades made of?

Mag Shades are crafted from high-quality mesh material, featuring strong magnets embedded within the shade frame.

Front Windscreen Shades

What materials are used in Front Windscreen Shades?

Our Front Windscreen Shades feature a triple laminate construction, comprising a foam core center for insulation, a reflective outer layer, soft felt backing on the inner side, and a stylish black binding finish.

How do I install a Front Windscreen Shade?

Installing our Front Windscreen Shades is straightforward. When the car is stationary, simply place the shade in the front windscreen area. It doesn't need to sit flush against the glass. Utilize your sun visors to help keep it in place.

Can the Front Windscreen Shade be used with dash mats, dash cameras, and other devices installed on my windscreen?

Our Front Windscreen Shades don't need to sit flush against the glass. Dash mats can affect the fit slightly, causing the shade to sit a bit higher. We typically accommodate items like E-Toll tags and dash cameras around the rearview mirror. If you have a small dash camera, phone holder, GPS holder, or similar device, our shade can usually be installed over it, using the sun visors to hold it in place. However, if your device protrudes significantly from the glass, the shade may not fit. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your devices.

How well do Front Windscreen Shades fit?

We offer custom-fit Front Windscreen Shades tailored to your windscreen for maximum protection against UV rays and heat. While they effectively block out light and UV rays, variations in mirror shapes/sizes and additional sensors may result in small gaps around the rear-view mirror or sides to facilitate quick and easy installation.

How should I store my Front Windscreen Shade when it's not in use?

Our unique folding design ensures easy installation and removal. Additionally, we provide a convenient storage bag for storing your Front Windscreen Shade when not in use.

How effective is a Front Windscreen Shade at blocking sunlight and heat?

Our Front Windscreen Shade can reduce interior vehicle temperature by up to 15 degrees Celsius and lower interior surface temperature by up to 45 degrees Celsius. It also helps prevent fading and cracking of car interior over time.

Where are Front Windscreen Shades manufactured?

Our Front Windscreen Shades are manufactured in China.
